Funerals

Because of the pandemic, there are restrictions on the form of the funeral service and the number of mourners able to attend.  The Diocese is encouraging families to hold a very small, brief service now, followed by a memorial service when friends and family can celebrate the life of your loved one.  Please telephone Daniel now on 07539 268773 or email him on rectoricknield@gmail.com to discuss what you would like.

When a loved one dies the clergy of the Ministry Team will want to give you as much help as possible to see you through this difficult time. There are a lot of things to think about in preparing a funeral and the clergy and the funeral directors will be on hand to guide you through all the decisions that need to be made.

Some people following a death first get in touch with a funeral director. Others first get in touch with the clergy. Whichever way you choose, you can have confidence that the funeral director and the church will work very closely with you to arrange and carry out the funeral.

If you would prefer to talk to us first, please contact one of our Ministry Team (details on the "Ministry Team" and "Contact Us" pages).
